Chidori-ga-fuchi, beautiful cherry blossoms reflected in the water

Among various sakura spots in Tokyo, Chidori-ga-fuchi is the best to see the combination of water and cherry blossom.

Chidori-ga-fuchi shows two different faces in daytime and evening.

Chidori-ga-fuchi is actually a moat of the Imperial Palace with promenade well maintained.

Normally it is a relaxing place familiar to office workers, but many foreign tourists arrive in cherry blossom season.

Boating is popular here as you can enjoy looking up cherry blossoms from the water surface.

The scenery completely changes in evening.

Illuminated cherry blossoms are reflected on the water surface and provides very mystical atmosphere.

This unique collaboration of cherry blossom lighting, water and boats is the main reason why this place is regarded as one of the best sakura spots nationwide.

The petals beautifully dance around and spread on the water surface.

It is relatively easy to access from the station with only 5 minutes walk.

However, as it’s a quite popular spot, it is expected to be terribly crowded.

I’d suggest you to prepare drinks beforehand and arrive in plenty of time.
