Japan has a lot of beautiful views not only in the daytime but also in the nights.

Here I’m going to introduce the Three Major Night Views of Japan.

 

Nagasaki City – View from Mt. Inasa

Nagasaki is one of the most famous night view spots in the world, along with Hong Kong and Monaco.

Mt. Inasa is 333 meters high mountain located in Nagasaki City.

The night view from here is so beautiful that it’s often called “10 million dollar night view”.

Millions of lights spreading front of you will make you forget about time.

In addition, the observation deck was renovated in April 2011. On the deck, lights sprinkled on the floor creates even more romantic atmosphere.

 

Admission to observation deck : 8:00AM – 10:00PM

Access :
By ropeway : 5min by Nagasaki Ropeway, and 1min walk from Inasadake Sta.
By bus : Take Nagasaki Bus from Nagasaki Sta. and get off at Inasa-yama bus stop. 10min walk from the bus stop.

 

Kobe, Hyogo – View from Kikuseidai Park, Mt. Maya

From the observation deck about 700 meters above sea level, you can enjoy a wide range of dynamic night view such as Rokko Island, Port Island, Kobe City, Osaka City, Kansai International Airport and the lights of ships floating in Osaka bay.

Even in cold winter, many tourists visit here and get fascinated by the wonderful view.

You should go there and experience the view like a jewel box.

Access to observation deck :
By car : Parking lot available in front of Mayasan Tenjoji Temple. 10min walk from the parking lot.
By Maya View Line : take cable car from Maya Cable Sta., transfer to ropeway at Nijinoeki Sta. and get off at Hoshinoeki Sta.

 

Hakodate, Hokkaido – View from Mt. Hakodate

From Mt. Hakodate(334m above sea level), you can see the city of Hakodate spreading in a fan shape sandwiched by the sea.

The fantastic light spreading between the Tsugaru Strait on the left and the Hakodate Bay on the right captivates a lot of tourists.

There is also a restaurant on the observation deck of Mt. Hakodateyama, and you can have romantic dinner with a nice atmosphere while enjoying the night view. Highly recommended for a date!

By ropeway : take Hakodate Ropeway from
By car : parking lot available on the top of the mountain
By bus : take bus from Hakodate Sta. to Hakodateyama
*Car and buses not available in the winter since road closed

You can hike by yourself as well. Takes about 1 hour to the observation deck.
