“Akashi Kaikyo Bridge”, the longest suspension bridge in the world

If you visit Hyogo, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge would be one of the spots you absolutely must go, as well as Kobe Port and Arima Onsen.

This bridge connecting Kobe City and Awaji Island has been certified as the longest suspension bridge in the world with a total length of 3,911m and a central span of 1,991m since opening in 1998.

Not only the bridge, but there are several sights such as Maiko Park, which is located under the bridge, and Maiko Sea Promenade. In addition, a tour called “Bridge World” is available from April to November every year. In this tour, you can go to the tower top of the bridge and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view across Hyogo and Awaji. Strongly recommended for those who love taking selfie and panorama!
